Monitored Home Security System

Commonly, supervised security systems are an alarm system that will respond to the alarm being triggered by transmitting a signal to an emergency service which will manage the situation rapidly and swiftly. By putting up monitored home security system you are guaranteed that you will receive help straightaway if something unforeseen happens to your property.

Still, you can connect to the monitoring center, either by a frequent landline or by mobile phone. The huge advantage of monitoring using mobile phone is that the vandal cannot destruct your phone line outside like he can do with a land line. A large number of people set their cell phone transmitter unit in the roof of their home in order to receive a great signal. It implies that you will always be able to connect when you need most.

The majority of supervising companies will try to ring your phone back after they have got the signal that your supervising system has been set off. The emergency is increased in case there is no one in the house or if somebody picks the phone up at home, but can’t get the correct password.

The monitoring center is not only given notice when the alarm was activated.
Besides, there are alarm control panels that provide supplemental buttons for other emergency services such as fire, medical, or police. You just need to press the button and the center will do in response to assist you with your call. It is great, especially for the elderly or infirm because it guarantees calmness and comfort.

If you make up your mind to provide a monitored home security system, you will have to give a small amount of money monthly; even so, it is actually worth that money for the peace of mind. Actually, a monitored home security alarm system may reduce your home insurance payment so this offsets some of the monitored monthly premium making it not that pricey as first anticipated. So, you really have to take into consideration calling your insurance company immediately, and find out their terms of setting up a home monitored alarm system.

Tazer Gun: A Ground-Breaking Creation for the 21st Century

For centuries, police departments and civilians alike have been looking for ways to protect themselves. Most of the means of self defense have been lethal weapons like swords or guns. Thankfully though, that last century yielded a great invention called the Tazer. Many lives have been saved thanks to this product.

A Tazer gun is an electroshock device that is used by civilians and police departments alike. It shoots out two 15 foot wires with two metal prongs attached at the ends and delivers anywhere from 5 second to 30 second pulses depending on the model. This completely incapacitates the assailant of the shock for a short period of time. It also enables the police officer to cuff the target, or it gives time for the civilian to escape the reaches of their attacker. If the Tazer user doesn’t have an air cartridge, they can still use the tip of the Tazer like a stun gun.

The Tazer has proven itself time and time again in law enforcement. It has stopped people with guns, knives, and has even helped at times when hand-to-hand combat has gotten way out of control. Usually, you hear a lot about Tazer use in law enforcement but rarely is there any news about its use by civilians. Funny, since Tazer originally just sold its product to civilians.

If you are serious about your personal safety, then you need to consider about getting a Tazer. You can stop an assailant from 15 feet away or use it for direct contact. A Tazer device requires little maintenance, unlike a gun, and it is extremely unlikely that you will kill someone with it. That is the greatest downfall of a handgun. Killing another human being is no light responsibility and killing someone, even in self defense or another justified means, can be extremely traumatic.

Tazer devices are legal in most states, but please make sure to check your local laws just in case there are restrictions. Some places have made it illegal for civilians to buy or carry them. If it is legal in your area and you buy a Tazer gun, then remember to practice with it and carry it with you as often as you can. Protecting yourself is very important and if you’re properly prepared, then you’ll be less likely to become a victim.

Brinks Home Security | 5 Excellent Reasons Why I Chose Brinks

All too often I am asked whether or not I trust and/or like Brinks Home Security and why.  Well, I usually give an answer that is something along the lines of “yeah, I’d use them”, but I never really had solid reasons for my trust.  So, after some sitting, some thinking, and some internet searching, I came up with 5 good reasons why I would go with Brinks Home Security.

1) Experience

They have been providing home security for more than 30 years!  Since home security is completely dependant on the safety aspect, experience is absolutely key.  They have had time to make any mistakes that could be made by such a company and fix all of them.  Thanks to their experience, they just don’t make mistakes.  A new, inexperienced company, on the other hand, is much more likely to make a mistake that could cost you your safety.  Your safety is simply too important to justify any unnecessary risk.

2) Service

They have true 24 hour service all around!  Of course, they have 24 hour monitoring, that’s to be expected from any home security company, but Brinks Home Security accepts calls for support 24 hours a day!  That means that if something goes wrong with my system, they will help me fix it even if it happens to be 3 am.  They make their customers THE top priority, even over sleep!

3) Awards

So, about that service thing you just read about; you remember, right?  Well, said service is VERY good, good enough to win awards!  J.D. Powers and Associates have given Brinks Home Security an award for “An Outstanding Customer Service Experience” six years in a row.  Not to mention that Brinks Home Security also got a “Best Buy” award from Consumer Digest for its standard security system!  Awards are certainly some strong evidence.

4) Ease of Use

All other keypads that I have used are more difficult than Brinks’ keypad.  It’s easy to turn off when you need to, and it’s even easier to turn on.  Additionally, there are immediate alarm buttons on the keypad that allow me to directly sound the alarm and contact monitoring personnel in the event of an emergency.  It’s all about safety, and Brinks Home Security has it in spades!

5) Professional

Their entire staff is very professional.  All of them are true Brinks employees who live and work in the United States. Not outsourced foreign workers with heavy Indian accents.  Which is, of course, when you would need to understand the person on the other side of the line the most.  Brinks employees have licenses for the work that they do, they go through background checks, and they go through drug testing; all to insure that they will help you correctly when you need it the most.

Those are more than enough reasons for me to choose Brinks Home Security.  The choice is still yours, though.  Go with Brinks, or just “some other guy”?
